Wesabe just released a new tips feature that gives you advice on where to shop. They show you places that carry the same stuff you usually buy, but at a cheaper price.

The MySpace Application Gallery is finally out of beta, and works a lot like Facebook’s Application Gallery works. You have a list of Applications you can install, a brief description and then a button to put it onto your MySpace page.

Yahoo is letting a limited number of developers try out their new SearchMonkey platform, which allows websites to customize their Yahoo search results listing.

Twistory is a cool Twitter mashup that takes in your archive and puts it into Google Calendar.

Flatworld Knowledge is an new web company with an aim to bring the Free Line to expensive college textbooks, by placing PDF files of its textbooks online, for free. They plan on opening their doors next January.

TeachStreet is a new website that lets you search for local teachers and classes on just about any subject matter imaginable. It’s free and easy for instructors, coaches, and even schools to set up profiles. The current public beta version only lists classes in Seattle, Washington…but expect this site to expand very quickly.

Google Video underwent a makeover earlier this week. The newest updates are mostly cosmetic: you’ll now have the choice to look for videos in a grid or a TV view.

Google’s personalized homepage, iGoogle, just took baby steps into becoming a full-fledged social network.

FireFox has introduced a new plugin that can save you time: it’s called BlogRovR. After you install the plugin, the BlogRovR application takes a peek at the page you’re on, and then suggests related blogs you can visit in a snap.

Donation Dashboard is a new website out of UC Berkeley that takes an Amazon Suggest-approach to fundraising. When you sign up, it asks you to rate several non-profit organizations. After you’ve done that, it returns a list of organizations that the system thinks would interest you.

Flickr FS is another Linux program that automatically downloads and backs up all of your photos from Flickr.

YouTube rolled out a beta release of its three newest features, which they refer to as improvements in the overall management of your messages, contacts, and videos.

Six Apart’s Blog It – Facebook Photo Import – Comment Sniper – Free Line Report 4.21.08


Six Apart’s new tool Blog It enables you to simultaneously post to almost any blog platform including Blogger, LiveJournal, Movable Type, Tumblr, TypePad, Vox, and WordPress, from within your Facebook profile.

Facebook can now import photos from other websites with a just a few clicks. Flickr, Yelp, Picasa, and del.icio.us are supported, with more to come in the near future.

Yahoo has purchased IndexTools, a web analytic software similar to Google Analytics, and plans on offering the full suite of tools for free to its current partners and clients.

SEOBook has released a new FireFox plugin called RankChecker that gives you a fast and complex ranking results for your website.

Jiffle is a new web application that makes scheduling appointments a snap.

AlertThingy is a new Adobe Air application that hooks into FriendFeed. It can run on any operating system and pulls in a constant stream of your FriendFeed data.

There is a new free application called CommentKahuna that lets you find any WordPress blog that is relevant to your website that doesn’t use the NoFollow attribute.
