Both are total resource hogs. FireFox 2 sucks the life out of your RAM and FF 3 will max your CPU when you try to run sites heavy on AJAX like Facebook and my blog log in multiple tabs. This is not buggy behavior, this is just plain poorly written code. Even Internet Explorer does a better job than FireFox. FF 3 seems to run well at first and SEEMS to be a big improvement. Then when you have lived with it for a while it slows to a crawl and you cringe when you see what we have come to call the spinning wheel of death. I can get IE to run so much faster than FireFox. It is a shame that because of all the spyware POS that we have to try to dodge their bullets by using a sub standard POS like FireFox. I still run W2k so I cannot run the latest IE or FF 2 or 3 would both be history. I run 3GB of RAM and pull 20mb from cable. Why up grade and I will not touch Vista. BTW I just switched to Opera and Opera mini on my phone. First glace says much improved. If it was not for the FF extensions that I love I would have uninstalled FF a week ago.
